OUR PLANTATION
We aim to become one of the few hotels in the world that grows nearly all the daily produce offered to its guests. Our people cut and transport to the hotel a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit that are prepared and served in salads and platters, as well as the oranges for the freshly squeezed juice we serve daily at breakfast. We also make our own marmalades, jams, desserts, and many of the ingredients used for our buffets and dishes. Whatever our plantation does not produce, we usually source from neighbouring farms.
The Morokambos Plantation covers an area of 530.000m2² and houses some 15,000 Mediterranean and tropical plants. Species of citrus, avocado, palm, guava and mango grow there in the thousands. In principle it is a commercial enterprise, though the family who own both the Azia Resort and the plantation make every effort to link the two together for the health benefit as well as the gustatory enjoyment of their guests.
This arrangement enables the Azia to treat its guests to a variety of produce bursting with unspoiled freshness, harvested daily from the trees of the plantation. The Economides family invite their guests to explore the plantation, pick their own fruit, and enjoy delightful picnics in the cool shade of the walnut groves.

PLANTATION TOUR
A tour of the plantation is a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors to the Azia – especially, of course, for the children. Our guests have the opportunity to explore the plantation and see for themselves how these trees are planted and cultivated until the fruit matures to perfection.
The trip includes:
• Pick up from outside the hotel.
• Guided walk and explanations
• Lots of fresh fruit.
• Pick your own seasonal fruit (subject to seasonality).
Trips start at 5:00 pm and return to hotel about 7:00 pm (only on Tuesdays).
Bus price at €19.00 per person. You may use your own car if you wish.
Minimum number of guests required for the excursion to take place: 15 pax
Please pay attention to the following:
· Smoking is strictly forbidden during your visit at the Plantation.
· We recommend long trousers and low, closed shoes, no sandals.
· Minimum numbers apply for the excursion to take place.
· Bookings cannot be refunded once booked.
· Please contact the Reception desk for bookings.
